"She's a Monster"

Talked to Nicole this morning, while Round 2 of chemo was going on. All I could hear in the background was Miss Allison giggling along with the nurses. Nic said that yesterday the chemo went well, for 12 hours, full of babbling and dance parties. Afterwards, everyone got a solid 9 hours of sleep. YAY! Mommy called Allison a monster, she's taking the chemo very well at this point. Let's just call her the Incredible Hulk.

Today, chemo started at 9 a.m. and was supposed to go for 12 hours again. Haven't talked to Nicole this evening, but will in the morning.

  1. Hi All,

We visited the family last night and got to spend some time with everyone... helped get them some of the things that they might need for a 30 day hospital stay... fed Allison french fries :) All in all, really just impressed at what an awesome family they have and what a strong little girl Allison is.

If anyone needed any ideas on what to bring... They still need a lot - obviously - but some of the things I think they could use are:

DVDS (they have a portable DVD player)
CDS (we bought them a CD player and thought nature cd's or mellow music might be nice background)
STORAGE BINS OR BASKETS (There's not a lot of space and they can use all the storage they can get)
    TOILETRIES - Shampoo, toothpaste, etc.
FOOD - They have tons of snacks but I'm sure those will run low... as will their drink supply. (They like Diet Coke and Carbonated Water.)

They didn't ask for anything, of course and were just so happy to see us but I'm sure they could use some of these "luxeries" - if offered :)

  3. Hello everyone,

I also visited the family when Jasmine did and was touched by how strong and amazing they are... I want to help in any way I can so I set up a paypal account to try and help raise money for the major expenses they will incur due to this long hospital stay, missing work and so forth.
The email to use to send money is: allisonzicree@gmail.com and the direct link is:
https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render content&content_ID=marketing_us/send_money or go to www.paypal.com is the first link doesn’t work. Go to the bottom of the page and "send money".

    Thank you,

    Becky

  4. Hey Becky,

The accounts are being set up by Shaun. It'll be an actual account where folks can send donations to. The info will be posted this week! Thanks for your help though :-)
