I was in tears watching KTLA tonight. I can really relate to this story on many levels. I helped a little girl who was diagnosed with AML leukemia at age 5 months.
I did a lot of research on bone morrow and cord blood transplant procedures to help educate the family on both choices. I am not sure of the exact diagnosis of your precious Allison but felt compelled to let you know of a great hospital that saved this little baby's life.
The little girl that I helped was sent to Duke University for a cord blood transplant. She was 13 months old when she received the transplant and she is now going on ten years old and strong as ever.
Please keep the faith. I have seen miracles happen. If you would like to be introduced to the family I helped, please email me at friendinreach@aol.com. I know they would love to talk to you and be a source of support and information. Allison and your family will be in my prayers.
